Hi i'm Larry, and this is my brother Daryl and my other brother Daryl! lol Was that the actor from Newhart that was the pyscho guy? His voice gave him away. It would have been AWSOME if he had been wearing a stocking cap!

Little Ben was sort of a wiener. He was like an evil milhouse.
Poor Sayid. How did Sawyer, Juliet, Jin, Daniel, etc... explain to Horace where they were from or where they came from?

I could not place that character at all even though he was so familiar to me, but I think you are right!

Very interesting episode. I wonder if this explains

why Ben didn't go back to 1977 when Ajira 816 crashed. I wonder if this means that Sun's and Lapidus's pasts were somehow changed like Ben's was.

I have several observations - like why do the Dharma crew have cute female auto mechanics? - but the only question that matters at this point is:

'Is Benjamin Linus really dead?'

And if so, then what are the consequences and implications?

A dead Ben would very possibly stave off the possibility of the Dharma crew getting wiped out - that operation worked largely because of Ben. However, given just how dangerous some of the Dharma experiments were (the button pushing protocal at the Swann Station, the 'Incident', ect) it is possible they might have done themselves in anyway.

Ben surviving being shot also raises issues. Sawyer was one of the people in charge in Dharma land, well known by everybody. One would think that he would remember Sawyer twenty seven years later after the crash of 815. And he should really remember Sayid - seeing as Sayid put a bullet in him. Yet, in 2004, Ben was mostly interested in Locke, Jack, and Sawyer; and didn't pay all that much attention to Sayid until after being forced off the island.

I have to wonder if we have a diverging timeline issue here. Given the way time travel seems to work here - according to the less than stable Faraday anyhow - the timeline will seek to correct itself. If Ben is dead, somebody else will step into his shoes and the timelines will be merged...somehow. (Which still leaves the Dharma crew mostly dead).

James wasn't going by the name Sawyer while in Dharmaland.

I have a feeling the "Island" will miraculously heal Ben, Like Locke and Christian.

I'm wondering it the island heals Ben, but the damage from the bullet is what causes the need for the spinal surgery later on.

Yeah, I don't think we done with Ben yet...I'd be surprised if we're done with Ben before the very last episode.

I was wondering if the fire would call Doc Jack into service. Everyone seemed to be getting out alright, but still...someone could be injured and needing doctoring. Although, they do still have Doc Juliette.

My husband is wondering if Ben's death (that is...if he's dead....he can't believe Sayid didn't check him out before he ran away...) will make a "war" between the Dharma folks and the "Hostiles".

When Sun/Lapidus were in the current day they showed the area where they gave out the jumpsuits, and the shots, etc. All of the signs were still there, it seems like the Dharma group left, but the Hostiles/Others didn't 'replace' them and move into barracks like they did after the purge. I'm just curious if this death of Ben really did change the future.
