i know this because i was doing research on Burce Lee and the fighting style he came up with and come across one that source that talked about all major martial arts movie people..Jackie Chan, Burce Lee, Sonny Chiba, Jet LI etc... and it was talking about who really knew and who didnt..anyway

yeah it looks good..but just knowing that he really doesnt know how to fight makes me sad

lol...no i'm serious. Jet Li cant fight...all he has studied is forms to make the choreographed fight scenes look good. he hasnt had any martial arts training

In fact Jet Li was a champion fighter for many years before he got started in the movies.
I know this for a fact, because if you look at the extras on Hero you will learn more about him.
Q. Taratino did an interview with him, and talked about how he was a real life martial arts champion for many years.

thats the first time I've heard of this...all the places i've been havent mentioned Jet Li having any martial arts trainging except for Forms for the movies.

whoa, whoa....lol bruce lee can't have learned a way to do martial arts just for acting because he became an actor AFTER he became a huge champion in Chinese kung fu. lol and about jet li...

i never said anything about bruce lee not knowing how to fight...i said jet li couldnt fight.

I don't know personally whether Jet Li was trained, but I do know you don't need formal training to be good. Just look at Wong Fei Hung. He was trained by his father's teacher at first, then his father Wong Kei Ying took over.
