I live near Canton , North Carolina. Last Thursday night (Friday morning, actually) at 2:25 AM my wife and I were awakened by our little cat, Savannah. She was really upset about something, but we didn't know what. At the time Tropical Storm Ivan was blowing through with lots of wind and rain. ((Canton was flooded out for the second time in a week (first time was by TS Francis with water up to 15 feet deep) with water 8 feet deep downtown)).
About three or four minutes after the cat got us up a 90 foot pine tree in the side yard came down on the roof. It hit hard enough to knock the bulbs out of the ceiling fixtures, right over our bedroom. Fortunately the roof was strong enough that the tree only made a few holes.
Savannah may not have known exactly what was going to happen, but she knew something was dreadfully wrong. I credit God with keeping that tree out of our bed, and Savannah for giving us warning.
That is often how life is. Warnings come from many directions. Sometimes we listen and sometimes we don't.
