......I'd like to recommend a book by a gentleman named Wesley Duewel, called "Revival Fire".

He tells in there of how during one of the major oldtime revivals here in America, there were sailing ships coming to the country that when they got about, I think it was 100 miles from our coastline the whole ship came under the power of the Holy Spirit in convicting them they needed to be saved! They felt the Prescence of God on the ship, before they even reached port! Glory to God! And all got saved!

How does one decide a revival has taken place or is taking place do they have to meet a certian criteria

Did you read the post?? No one's calling anyone a heretic. She was saying John Wesley was called a heretic in his day. As us wofers and healing adherents are today.

I must say, as much as I think revival is important, I think the true issue is: strong Biblical local churches.

Local churches have impacted the world for Christ far more than revivals. When all the romance and hype is gone - are there places for people to be taught, loved, discipled, corrected, trained, to have a model of how the life should be lived?

That is the key today. Revival or not - go and be part of a local church, love your pastor and love the world.
