Face shields are a good thing. Anything that decreases chance of infection, yet still allows you to see a person's actual facial expressions is a plus (although it should probably be paired with a mask).

Joe Biden isn't against wearing a mask - it is someone who is adamant about NOT wearing a mask that should wear one. Plenty of people in Texas and Florida and Arizona who qualify, although they are starting to die off.

The mask is primarily to reduce the disbursement of the virus of the wearer, not to protect the wearer from the virus in the air. It only works when everyone* is wearing them (everyone being everyone infected with the virus - since you can spread it before having symptoms, that is why everyone should be wearing it).

4+ months in and those against masks still don't even understand the basic premise of the masks (and it shows in their arguments against using them).

No, I "didn't see the spray go right through the fabric of the mask you were to "protect" yourself", and neither did you, and neither did anyone else.

But thanks for helping me make my point. What so many people don't understand is (among other things):
1. The mask is worn to protect others, not so much yourself. It offers the wearer a small amount of protection, not a lot, but a little is better than nothing. It is a 3 to 20 percent improvement for the wearer.
2. The mask isn't believed to stop all particles coming out of one's mouth or nose. It is intended to reduce it by about 50%, maybe even more, depending on the material. The ignorant man in the video thinks that because the spray is going through the mask that it's ineffective. The spray did not "go right through the fabric of the mask" - some went through, some got caught by the mask. The guy didn't show the inside of the mask because he is ignorant about the fact that masks are intended to stop part and not all of the particles.

If people educate themselves about masks and what they do to help then they wouldn't make videos like this. This is like making a video showing that seat belts are ineffective because people still die in car accidents even with seat belts worn and airbags deployed. Just as nobody claims seat belts and air bags are a guarantee against dying in a car accident nobody claims wearing masks are a guarantee that people won't get or spread COVID.

It's getting very monotonous hearing people argue against things that nobody has claimed.
