When will life return to "normal"? It's what parents with kids stuck at home, people out of work, and Americans across the country want to know. What will it mean to live in a post-coronavirus world?

There are things that are working (e.g. aggressive social distancing), along with rapid responses to the pandemic as seen in countries that responded appropriately.

Praying to the heavens might make a person feel individually good, but it really has nothing to do with the virus. The virus doesn't care about your beliefs.
