Here's something to think about

You know I strongly believe that if everyone would stop speaking gas prices and finance issues into exestance, we wouldn't have it.

I mean, agree with me if want to or not, but you don't have to be a super genious to know that when you focus on something good enough, it will come true. That's just the way the power of our tongues work.

Just a thought. Take it to heart or just go on focusing on the bad and keep that growing.

Or, you can start focusing on the good things you have and take your mind off what was bad. Who knows? Maybe if a lot of people catch on to this then maybe we'll these so-called issuses fade away just because the world will begin to think positively.

This is my though for today.

Hmmm...that gives me an idea for a thread...a good news thread!! You know, I have often yearned for a newspaper that only produced good news! It is so sad and so telling that only bad news sells news papers. Praise be to God that we have the Word... the Good news of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!!

I think for the most part the positive thinking thing name it claim it s a new age lie. (sEE Oprahs fav book The Secret by Michael Losier and follow up to it being The Laws of Attraction.)

Only Father God can call those things that are not as though they are. If we are not energized and led by His Spirit to do this it is presumption. You wouldn't happen to have read the book The Secret by any chance, have you? (I haven't, but I get the general idea what it's about).

Being positive is always a good thing, but I don't think we can just wish things into existence. That's New Age thought. But heck, get some people together and we'll all wish for lower gas prices. I'm willing to give it a shot.

No I haven't read "The Secret" and I doubt that I will. I was innundated years ago by a sect of christianity that was big on the "prosperity message" at that time it was way out of balance but I am not sure about it now as I have not been involved with them since 1981 or 2. However there are books out that answer the thoughts put forward in the secret. I am not sure what you guys pay for gas where you live but ours is up to $1.47 a litre at the moment. I think that is 1/4th of your gallon so the equivalent per gallon would be $5.88. It does sometimes go as low as $1.40 a litre. Whoopee.
I just try to drive less and am keeping my old little clunker car that has pretty good gas mileage. Not sure what else to do but praying certainly wouldn't hurt. GG

Well I don't know about any of that, but one thing is sure - a positive mood will keep us healthier. Even if it gets a little worse, we all know that God is in charge of everything. We won't fall too far into a mess.

Gas price rises and debt problems warn us to find solutions effectively. Using the bus can be a fast-and-pause travelling experience with passenger pick-ups at street bus stops usually taking more than an hour to travel between distant suburbs if visiting the shopping mall together with cinema building complex. Thinking positive while on the bus is using personal entertainment such as CD walkman or Ipod. Carry a computer notebook for wireless internet to keep you from guessing when the next bus would arrive by looking up the bus timetable online. Bus fare tickets being only a few dollars a day works out to be cheaper if you visit the shopping mall every day.

Now in Canada we get tax deductions for taking transit. I don't use it but my sons do. I think it is a terrific idea. Now we just have to get our transit system up to snuff.
