English works just fine.
He didn't die that day.
What's wrong with English? Was the Bible poorly translated?
Sounds like it took quite some time to come up with a plausible excuse...
And so you return to this idea that you're teaching something here...
Who is shoehorning? Paul? Peter? John? Luke? Are you saying only Christian Jews should be theologians or expounders on Scriptures? Who is not respecting observant Jews?
Whereas your contempt for those who don't find your arguments as compelling as you do remains laser-focused....
Now comes the point where you make another comment on your superiority in these matters... go ahead; I'll wait.
Some are better than others. However, when there is difficulty in the English you must go to the languages used in the translation.
More than plausible. As we see Peter knows of God's patience and long-suffering as he knew the TaNaKh well.
David should have been stoned to death by Mosaic law. He was not. There's a reason for such.
We are not struck down dead with our first overt sin for a reason. The Grace and Mercy of God is not just a NT new found concept. We see God's Grace and Mercy throughout TaNaKh as well.
The only attempt of hubris on this thread is you for considering yourself learned on the Scriptures.
Funny what it takes to ignore this one simple truth...
Or ignore the larger truth I opined on already....Grace and Mercy. Always offered first by God before Judgment.
There is a some very good 'read the Bible in a year' plans I could recommend to you so you have a fuller understanding of the TaNaKh and Brit Hadashah.
Don't be silly -- three out of those four were Christian Jews... It's everyone who came after them who screwed it up by first separating from Judaism, and then trying to hijack it.
Genesis 2:17 --"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."
Tell us where the difficulty is in the English.
In the words of the Jewish prophet Mel Brooks, "It's good to be the King..."
Tell that to Uzzah... and about a couple of million other people I could mention who never got the warning.
Right on cue! I must give you credit, friend -- you know how to follow a script...
There is not. Just your conclusion is flawed as I pointed out three times now.
And a Scottish prophet once said "There can only be one."
Uzzah knew the Law. David was upset too. It is natural for us to be upset but such in a huge misunderstanding that we can fully know the Mind of God.
So you are former Messianic Jewish? You believe Christians today both Jewish and Gentile should be observing the feast days and most of the Mosaic law?
We do have Christians (Gentiles and Jews) that do exactly that. They have the liberty to do so in their walk with Christ. See Colossians 2.
Nope, and nope. You're all over the map here.
And good for them. We should all be free to worship as we wish... or not at all, if we so wish. Agreed?
Yes we all have free will. Life is all about choosing wisely or poorly.
Especially some voters...Humans are quick to forget a lot.
Know that there are a lot of past civilizations that did not worship Yahweh? Historical documentation, commentary by Europeans when they encountered people in the Americas for the first time. It is brought up a lot by them that the natives had "never heard of the Lord".How would you know that?
I actually have a friend that was able to read to me some of the bible as it is in Hebrew. It does seem much better written in that language, it is a shame that the English translation sounds like such garbage sometimes, in terms of writing style. Now try it in the Hebrew, paleo-Hebrew or even LXX Greek.
Why is that though? The answer follows after that. The answers continue to be revealed many years to centuries after as well. Yet Adam did die. Hint: 2 Peter 3:9
