My older sister married an Egyptian man. He's not white, or Caucasian, althougth he's not really sure how to classify himself, since he's not black either. But anyway, they're married and it was fine, no questions asked. He is Orthodox though.

There are six or seven Chinese-Caucasian couples at my church, some of the Chinese became Orthodox, others not. Usually it's the women who convert, I'm told Chinese women will change religion for a man more redily than a man for a woman.

There are several African American-Greek couples here in Los Angeles. The children are so adorable and look Lebanese or Middle Eastern. They are accepted in the Church. It's been hard for the couples as the relatives were not happy and tried to discourage these couples.

Why do you call white people Caucasians? For Russians who have real Caucasians (i.e. Azerbayjans, Georgians, Armenians, Osetins, Chechens, Dagestanians etc.) around, such meaning is a bit funny.

i guess it's politically-correct....i still use white myself....but, that's just me....americans are, for the most part, a mixed back of races here and there....
