Here is something slightly less good, than God - want it?

Hi there,

Just want to check and see if you will accept something less good than God (in the place of God).

For example, would you prefer an "average" God, instead of a good one?

Thoughts?:holy:

The only thing that I want Gottservant, is reality. That's all I need. I don't even need to know all of it. I'd like to know more than I do now but I already know enough to live a full and happy life. Even if I never learned anything more I'd be perfectly content.

I don't believe there is such a thing as gods. I think they are purely imaginary and I don't need one to be happy.

You seem to be confused.
My acceptance (or lack thereof) of a claim that a God exists has nothing to do with my preferences. I don´t belief in Satan either, after all. Not because he´s too good or something.

If there were a perfectly moral God, that would probably be nice. But I don't believe such a God exists.

It would also be nice if there was a God that saved people from cancer and rape. If doing that makes God less than perfect, then I'll take that God. :)

I guess having a perfect god would be excellent... but having a still pretty good god would be alright.

It's like saying: "Would you like to have a friend who was very rich and generous." It seems like an easy yes.

However, I get the impression that Gott is asking because he thinks unbelievers are turned off by how good his God is. Certainly in my case, it's mainly that I find my self unconvinced that any god exists... but I have differing views about morality to most versions of the Christian God I've had described to me is also a problem.
