This isn't America. This is the 1930s Soviet Union. It is a show-trial that Stalin would be proud of. And like then, when millions applauded, we have you, and you know who you are, applauding this. The former president is not charged with a conspiracy to steal the 2016 election — but the jury...

I found this very interesting and learned a lot (though I already knew it was crooked).
It is absolutely amazing the extent to which extreme leftists will go to destroy their enemy.
Trump is not the enemy of We the People --and that's why the left don't like him. They know they likely will not win the pres election so, here you go. They will likely attempt to cheat (again)
Interesting web site.
0. your website says "Judge Juan Merchan is orchestrating Trump’s conviction of a crime that is not actually charged in the indictment: conspiracy to violate FECA (the Federal Election Campaign Act — specifically, its spending limits).
That should not be possible in the United States,"
-- a stated court acting as if it is litigating a federal crime? Why not let the Feds do it? Something fishy here.
1. Cohen was sentenced to prison because of his lucrative fraud crimes, not the FECA charges. The SDNY (Southern District of New York, the Federal Court that would actually deal with Federal Law violations)
never charged Trump, and it almost certainly wouldn’t have charged Cohen if he hadn’t agreed to plead guilty.
2. YET - Bragg "blamed Trump in an extensive narrative" claiming Trump is being charge with state crimes "for which Cohen “went to jail.”
3. Charges actually being litigated against Trump consist of : accusations "that the former president is guilty of 34 felony counts of
falsifying business records", no charge of conspiracy and no federal charges in this state court trial.
4. Nothing in the actual charges about interfering with an election (by having one's political opponent put on trial .. .for example)
5. Nothing in the actual charges about a conspiracy
A felony is the classification of the most serious types of crimes1. In the United States, it is a crime that is punishable by death or more than one year in prison2.
"it lists 34 counts of violating New York state law by falsifying business records in the first degree, a Class E felony. The language of each count is nearly identical, accusing Trump of making false records"
"
Falsifying business records is a crime that can be classified as either a misdemeanor or a felony, depending on the circumstances of the violation12.
The crime rises to a felony when the inaccurate record is entered as part of an effort to commit a different, underlying crime1.
from:
Donald Trump indictment: What to know about falsifying business records
" the
indictment and
arraignment of Trump earlier this week, the first for an ex-president in U.S. history, has drawn the nation's attention to
a rarely discussed white-collar financial crime: falsifying business records.
As part of a scheme to reimburse former Trump attorney Michael Cohen for hush money payments"
"Of the charges, 11 counts are
related to invoices filed by former Trump attorney Michael Cohen; another 11 counts are related to
checks issued from Trump accounts or trusts;"
"Each of the records was made in 2017" (So then AFTER the 2016 election and so NOT affecting a US election)

Why is this not a misdemeanor?
"The misdemeanor version of the crime usually means "destruction or falsification of business records," Konta said. "When you're doing that in hopes of committing a separate crime, then it's what's called a 'bump up.'"
The standard is akin to the legal treatment of trespassing, Konta added, noting that the mere act of trespassing is a relatively minor crime but the charge becomes far more serious if a
trespasser attempts to steal".
<<In other words listing related major crime in the indictment / accusation is key to moving this up beyond a misdemeanor. proving the greater crime stated in the charge - would be key to make this a felony. (
See any of these bits missing in the case?)>>

And of course there is a lot of discussion about the political campaign seeking to bury an unflattering "story" no matter if that story is true or false. (hmm - - laptop story ring a bell? what efforts were made to bury that one??)

Technical details too complex for a number of voters I suppose.
