CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Actually this is my second tour. I have been here almost 5 months now.
No I don't regret joining because I believe that is the way Jesus wanted it to be. I didn't come to Him until last December. If you read my testimony you can see where he brought me from to where I am today!

I would have to say being around all the language and the way people are. There aren't too many real Christians in the military. They are a lot that claim to be, but they don't live the life. I try my hardest to live the life that Christ would want me to.

Well it did at first. I will if my life is in danger. I don't want to take another person's life but if it is mine or his, then it's his. I know that I am in the military but I don't like the thought of it since I came to Christ. I believe that I am here not just for the "war" but to also be a servant and witness for God over here to the soldiers I work with.

The Bible does say there is a time to kill. I believe that would include when you are protecting your life and/or your country.

I don't buy into all this global warming stuff. I think the earth has natural cycles of heating up and cooling down. We are just in a heating up cycle right now.jlcboi23 said:
