Have you ever been guilty of racism or sexism or hypocritical behavior, if so how would you correct the situation?

Have you ever had occasion to call the police?

Where do you hide your valuables?

What was the last embarrassing thing you have done?

What is one of your guilty pleasures?

Who was the last person that angered you?

What is one of your biggest fears?

Do you have anyone on your ignore list?

Q1: Definitely, many times, though not intentionally. Part of growing up is realizing the world is not all just like your personal small slice of the pie. It's very easy to have preconceived notions and mannerisms that were fine where you grew up, but not so fine other places.

The times I realized that I have done or said something prejudiced, I have immediately appologized, and asked for the person to further explain what I have done, so I understand the complete scope of it. Not that this always smoothes the waters, but my approach is that I might not be so blind the next time.

I've often wondered what other things I have done without realizing and that others were just too polite to call me on it.

Q2. Yes, I have called the police, for a car accident report. Not very exciting, right?

Q3. I don't I only have a couple, and I wear them.

Q4. Passed gas unintentionally, publicly.

Q5. Let's see...umm...CHOCOLATE!

Q6. My sister in-law. (She is our Lord's special project for me to work on forgiveness, because she doesn't want to stop being difficult. She'd like forgiveness with permission to continue to try to control my family life.)

Q7. That anything terrible would happen to my children, and, worse, that I wouldn't be there to get them through it.

Q8. Not yet, they'd have to work pretty hard for me to be offended on a website that is about Jesus...thus about forgiveness.

I think I caught them all.

Seeking....you know that I am married, and this isn't the "for marrieds only" forum.;)

BUT, besides that, I most enjoy reading with a cup of something warm and sweet, by the fireplace. I'm big on cozy.
LOL!!!!! I just caught that one now! heeee....

Ok, what do you do on Christmas Eve...besides that....

Well, besides that (if we aren't too tired after getting everything ready for the kids....teehee), our Christmas Eve's are very inconsistent.

We are required (yes, I did say required)to attend my IL's Christmas every other year. They hold it at a hotel to accomodate the large family, and plan many activities to the max. I think this year it is a bonfire weeny roast, which my hubby and I have been assigned to plan the food for. It happens after a sleigh ride.

Later that night, no matter where we are, the kids throw reindeer food outside, and my hubby and I stuff the stockings, then make fake foot prints with dirt or ashes with his boots, of santa going to and from the stockings. If there is snow, I am pretty good at scupting a couple of reindeer prints too.

We also are going to try to catch midnight mass this year, since we think our youngest might be able to handle it now.

For the non-Catholics out there. Midnight mass is an extreemly spiritual and peaceful service, ushering in Christmas day. Some Catholic churches do what I call a "pseudo" midnight mass earlier in the evening, because some Catholic's include the concept of the "Sabath beginning at sundown the night before" into this tradition. So, what time it will be might depend on what services are offerred at varieous times wherever we are at. But my hubbies family usually likes to go to Mass in the morning after opening giftts. So we may be doing a double Mass thing. Hard to know at this point.

That might of been more than you were looking for.

Holiday Hugs!

Wouldn't that be Jesus?

But to get down to what you really meant. In Earthly terms, I teach my children that they should always say "You are one of my best friends." The obvious reason, so no one gets hurt. The deeper reason is that the people in our lives serve different purposes, friendships come in different flavors. And where one person may be the person you share the most fun with, the other is the one you survived hardships with. Another may be the one you are completely at peace with, where another may be the excitement in your day.

Sorry. Too many names to list. But close to the top would be "Dear", my husband.

Something I did before, but wish to never have to do again (but would if I had to), is to be the one to organize and intervention for an alcoholic family member, bring them to a treatment center, and be the only one to show for family week...and realize that everyone else in the family would prefer to stay in denile.
