Henry Gale!

I wonder if the writers forgot about him or if we'll ever get answers. Here's what we know:

Henry Gale arrived on the Island in a balloon. At some point he died of a broken neck, and Ben took on his identity. Henry was buried in a grave near the balloon, although Ben claimed that his wife was buried there. Sayid dug up Henry's corpse, uncovering Ben's ruse. In Henry's wallet was a Minnesota driver's license and a $20 bill with a note to his wife written on it. The balloon was sponsored and/or manufactured by Widmore Corporation and a Minnesota Metallurgy & Mining Co. It was also sponsored by Mr. Cluck's Chicken Shack and Nozz-A-La Cola.

The $20 Bill he had said this:

Jennifer,
Well you were

beer. I'm

the beaches to

signal fire, but
if you're reading this,
I guess I didn't make it.

Good question. Being a balloon, an electromagnetic force probably would not bring it down like it did the plane. He's not original Dharma since all the purge people were buried in an open grave. I think his note to his wife rules out Ben's story about her burying him.

I bet we find out who he is and/or how he got on the island by the end of the series, but I don't expect it anytime soon.

I think they should do a flash-back episode for him. It would be interesting to know why the others killed him (assuming he didn't just drop dead of natural causes).

it's weird that he wrote the note about going to the beach; but obviously didn't make it far from his balloon.

Maybe Ben watched him write the note then decided to kill him (that probably doesn't make sense).

The others would have been able to get to him really fast like they did when the plane crashed.
