I don't believe in "soulmates" or "helpmates", but I still believe it's possible that God has a helpmeet for me to serve Him with me...possible, but not probable, not holding my breath. I'm sure I could find a wonderful godly filipina who would be happy to stay with me untill death parts us if the Lord doesn't come back first, but time is so short and I'm content to serve the Lord as a single saint. It's nice not having to be concerned about pleasing anybody other than God.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

All I want is increasing fruifulness in ministrering the faith God has given me. I don't much trust my own decision making in finding someone, I'll know if there is somebody for me when I see they encourage or add to the gifts God has given me to serve Him by.
Last night could be the last time I saw the stars from my body of death. Today I'll be the passenger of an 80 year old man who inists on being the driver for the 75 mile trip to a wild game dinner. I saw him drive straight through a ditch when he didn't see the driveway of the store he was going to. He thought he went through the driveway, and not the ditch, and never really believed me when I told him he drove straight through the ditch. Oh well, I'm going to heaven and that's better than any old wild game dinner.
Godliiness with contentment is great gain. More godliness and less desires of worldly pleasures is good. Being single was good enough for Paul, it's good enough for me.
