Hi All.

I found this forum and reading through the posts, it looks like I'm at the right place. This past year has been somewhat terrible for me, experiences and situations from my childhood left me on a downward spiral. And just recently I've found myself wanting to find god, only I don't know how and if I'm doing it right :-/ or where to start. I hope I can find something here and and look forward to speaking to some if not all of you.

Hello and welcome! God already knows what you are and have been going through-He is just waiting on you! I would guess that by the fact you are seeking Him, He has already started working on your heart. The easiest thing is just begin a conversation with Him through prayer-does not have to be anything formal or fancy-just talk to Him. A good place to begin in the Bible is the book of John. If you do not have a Bible, there are many on line (biblegateway.com is a fantastic site with many translations of the Bible. The NIV version is written in todays english and is very easy to understand). I will pray for you too!

Tp522, thank you so much I shall have a look at that website . It's weird because it all just seems abit confusing at the moment and I don't know who to turn to or to ask for guidance and direction. Which is what I was hoping for on here, for ages I have felt hopeless and lost and just want to fit in and belong somewhere. And for some reason it feels like I'm being shown this way, it's all I've thought about for the past week. And now I just want to understand it all.
