Do you find yourself politically liberal but theologically conservative or politically conservative but theologically liberal? Or maybe moderate in both spheres? That's generally the type that falls into this forum.

More moderate in both areas. Sounds like I'll fit in just fine around here.

Of course, everyone here who reads this is wondering what you mean by "I am a bi sexual but trying to live as the bible says to" but is probably too polite to ask. ;)

good point

I take it to mean bi-sexual inclination but trying to live heterosexually—is that correct?

precisely

Just to give you some back ground, my community church is probably a little more conservative theologically speaking than myself. However, I was raised Southern Baptist, so it's a nice compromise for me.

I was born a bi sexual, but as I see it, we were all born sinners in need of a Savior. So, here I am. Make sense? (Hope I'm not crunching too many toes here)

Hopefully you aren't. What is behind your journey from Southern Baptist to where you are now?

Gosh, well, for one thing I've realized that Jesus example for us was simply to love people as they are, not fire and brimstone preach at them about going to Hell.

Also, a few years ago, I realized I could no longer believe in young earth creationism, and that obviously God created us through an evolutionary path. :)

I've also just been open to new views since I've realized how many problems I feel the Southern Baptist church has.

That's the short version. ;)

Thanks. A bit similar to my journey.

Bisexuality. I have found that some women who believe they are bisexual are more very sexual than truly bi. When sex is not discussed very freely and healthily it is easy to not see any distinctions between the two categories.

I suggest you continue to develop your relationship/awareness of God. Nurture that love you spoke of. Accept yourself as you are because God does, that is how vast Gods love is. Also be willing to allow Gods love to change you and mold you.

None of us wake up 'super 'christian' ' ready to slay every evil and wrong doing in this world. Most of us havent even come to the place that we realize what this life is really about.

Maybe other 'christians' focus more on your imperfections but that isnt how the love of God works. God nurtures the good within us, the good God put within us to begin with... and develops it into a higher love, wisdom, peace, pure desires, a clearer view, etc as we grow and continually seek God in our lives/hearts.

Sin CAN impede our spiritual growth and our relationship with God. There is no question to that. Often because of our own guilt, confusion, struggles etc we forget how to accept Gods grace at times.

For me being 'bi' is a non issue because i choose and desire to be a faithful wife. There is no reason or need for me to be anything other than his woman. That has helped me in many of my sexual struggles.

Again - focus on that love God has for you - mediate upon Gods guidance and will for you, ask the Holy Spirit to continue to mold your mind and heart, and increase within you. I am sure in time you will find that you are safe in Gods everlasting arms of love.

You will come to a point to that 'bi' will seem completely mute/moot. In this life time i cant promise because only you decide how much you grow spiritually, are enlightened etc...

I hope that made some sense! <3
