Help!

Hey guys, i'm wanting opinions on something. I am a musician and singer. My style is very much Hank Sr, but since I became born again i'm having some difficulty with this.

I sing Hank on stage and enjoy it, but also wonder if I am sinning by singing songs such as "Your cheatin heart"? I want to use my talent that God gave me for His glory, and i'm trying to write and sing gospel music, which I also love deeply.

I can't see myself trying to make it in secular music, because the songs that make it big for the most part seem to be songs about sex, alcohol, exc. I'd much rather sing about the gospel.

Any thoughts?

My suggestion is to spend some time in prayer and ask God to help you down the path you were meant to go down. To me it sounds like you already know what you want to do, which is work on making it in religious music rather than secular. Listen to what your heart is leading you to, because the Holy Spirit lives within you and will pull you towards the right path. Good luck with whatever choice you make
