My youth is falling apart. We have alot of undisaplined teens. I work on them and give them the word and they do good for about a week and then they are back to there old ways. My youth minister is not helping the situation either. He used to be the greatest youth minister and i dont' know what happened it seems like he lost his heart for his youth. I know he has dealt with alot of punisment with this youth. I've been apart of it a year after he became youth leader and just all the **** all these put on us puts a toll on us. What kind of stuff can i do to get Heath back focused on his youth(Me too, for that matter) and also how to keep someone on fire for christ.

Have you asked them what's bothering them? What are their needs or concerns? It's good that you're feeding them with the Word, but does it apply to their situations; at home, or at school? Perhaps you could take a more practical approach to getting through to them.

hello there friend,

well, There's something wrong on the leadership that is applied in your youth group. I understand well because it happened to our youth a few years ago. And I praised God that He arranged all the ruins. The possible reason why a youth group like yours is dissolving, is that there somthings lacking on it. You know everything in our lives has to have a purpose and a direction. Without purpose and direction, everything is meaningless so it will result into nothing. God has a purpose for our lives and He has also a purpose for our church and our ministry. I want you to read Matt. 22:37-40 and Matt. 28:19-20. Matt. 22:37-40 tells us the greatest commandments Jesus had told us. I this passage, Jesus tells about the 2 purposes and in Matt. 28:19-20 are the 3 other purposes God had formed for us to follow. The first 2 purposes sighted in the 1st passage are WORSHIP ("Love the Lord with all your heart") and MINISTRY ("Love your neighbor as yourself"). Next is EVANGELISM ("Go and make disciples"), FELLOWSHIP ("Baptizing them"), and the last is DISCIPLESHIP ("Teaching them to obey"). When this 5 purposes are applied to your life, to your church and to your ministry, God will manifest into it and it will be blessed. You have to apply these things because it really helps. I recommend 2 books for you read. "Purpose Driven Youth Ministry" by Doug Fields and "Purpose Driven Life" By Rick Warren. I hope my advice helps you a lot because it helped our youth here in the philippines and I do believe God will work tih your ministry like the He worked on our ministry. God bless you!!!!

Have you gone to your Youth Pastor and shared your heart? God might be laying this on you for this purpose. He might be reevaluating where he needs to be in ministry. Sometimes God moves ppl to other areas of service. Another suggestion is that he hook up with some other youth ministries for ideas/go on a retreat.
Maybe you two can put your heads together and come up with some postive ideas how to turn it around. Maybe bring in some speakers from different places. Possible several different Bible study courses to help your teens grow spiritually. If a any ministry is not growing spiritually it is doom for problems.
Lay it out to the teens, share your heart and get ideas how they think it can be turned around.
Anything worthwhile is hard work.
Being in leadership is NOT easy, fun, or appreciated at times.
If Satan can attack and get the leadership discourage, it is not long before he has the whole thing.

God bless you as you serve Him!!
