• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

i have a very very close friend who was a drug addict in the past. he abused heroin, marijuana and MANY other drugs. recently he was acting very strangely, while on the phone with me, and passed out while talking. the next morning i had to break open his door and wake him up. the entire day he was very slow and sluggish.
we had a urine test done for drug abuse that night, the result has proved that he was under the influence of "benzodiazepine", found in xanax and valium, under the same category as heroin. he INSISTS he did not take ANY drugs at all. and that he has only been taking caffeine pills once in a while. i dont know what to to. i dont know whether to believe him, the drug test proved POSITIVE. he swears that he did not take any drugs.
please help? if not, i ask that you please keep us in your prayers..
i feel so lost and i can only cry out to Jesus, please pray the Lord will clear this and tell me how to deal with this situation and give us strength.

My prayers are with you and for your friend. Denial is the hardest and the first step that must be faced. God be with you both.

he admitted to the truth. we are working on helping him stop his addiction.
praise the lord! thankyou for your prayers. please do continue to pray for us...
Praise the good Lord.....
Ensure him God loves and will be for him to over come.
There will be a tough road ahead of him , and my heart goes out to him, but God in all his grace and mercy can and will carry him, I pray he embraces that. Much love and peace to you both.
And I ask prayers for my husband, for he is still in denial, and I am forced to make a change, not to make him admit and deal with his addiction, but for me and my son's well being. Chie
