• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Help!! My friend has been suffering from bulimia (for about 1 year) and anorexia a little bit too. I'm her best friend and the first person she's told. Then she's also told a friend of mine online. She's only 13 and turning 14 late June. She hasn't gotten sick or too thin from it yet and I want it her to stop before that happens. WHAT DO I DO???!!!! Of course she doesn't want me to tell her parents she says she wants them to realize it. She alsosaid she'd maybe like to see a therapist.

So could anyone help me?? I told her I'd help her somehow.

you can tell and ask for confidentiality. my opinion is you shouldn't keep her secret honey. EDs are life threatening. no matter what size she is, she's causing damage to blodd, bones, brain, and internally her digestive and organs... including her heart and muscles.
ED's can even cause un healable things including death.
please find someone to tell.
