• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I suffer from chronic abdominal pain and fibromyalgia.Depression and anxiety are a key factor in this. I have gone through a lot of life changes in the last 4 months with separation, chronic pain program, sick child, now back together with hubby. When he was gone I did so much better health wise. I felt better and my anxiety didn't play too big a role as it is now that he's home. Don't get me wrong I want him home and I'm happy but I find myself so anxious to the point where I can feel my pulse at nightime. I want to talk to him but I'm afraid he will get upset. I have found my pain level increasing and my performance decreasing. Any advice as to how to approach him and explain to him how important for my health it is to keep my levels down.

For you counts ' Dont make your heart a murderhole ' Your a bad wife if you don't communicate with your husband. Good couples complain to eachother about what bothers them. Since fibromyalgia is arthritis related you might want to try glucosamine. Its basically for the joints, but still id like you to try it since its a harmless vitamine supplement.
