Things to buy:
Program: Such as Reason3 (Or if you have other instruments you want to hook up like guitars, something like Cakewalk Sonar 4)
Midi Interface: Midiman Uno
Midi Controller: Korg Kontrol or Micro Control is what I suggest.
All in all it should cost around $800 and should give you a good start.
