CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is it set in our world, or a fantasy one?
Because if it is in our world, you could make the protagonist join a crusade...... thats always good........

I really like your novel idea to put your characters into a different time frame, Psalms.. I am weak at plotting all the details for a longer novel.. My daughter suffers from detailitis, which is very good for plotting.
I feel that some people have a natural gift to spin a story out, and others might be good at articles or poetry or short stories. Then again that's just my opinion. Happy story crafting all.. Melosa

Since it's a medieval one, I guess there should be knights in shining armors...damsels in distress... Lol. But it doesn't have to be a normal medieval story... Why not throw in something unusual?

If it's a fantasy medieval world, then you could have almost anything you want! What do you have so far? Any main characters (good and/or bad)? Anything speific in the plot (love story, huge battle, dragon slaying, etc.)? Anything specific about this world (it's an island, there are three moons, people have naturally blue hair, the rain is sweet, etc.)?
Once you get the basic starter stuff set, then it gives you clocks to build with, writing backstories for your characters and explaining why things are the way they are in that world and all that other grand stuff.

maybe your character could be a thief? thats what my charecter is in my story.
