Help with lust/masturbation

Hey guys. Im 14(almost 15) and i have a real addiction when it comes to masturbation and porn. I have tried to fight it the past year and it hasnt gotten much better. Some weeks i go without madturbating and some i end doing it 4 times through the week. I am ashamed of my sin and hate it. I dont really know how to fight it effectively. I would love some bible verses to look up for encouragement and how to fight it off and advice from personall experiance. I really need help.

I know what you are going through, I went through the same thing. I tried to stop, but I couldn't, it really was like an addiction. But there are definitely ways to stop it, don't give up.

God, our Father. Yes, all things are possible through Him.
Now here are some things I want you to answer truthfully.

• Do you love God?
• Do you believe that His Words are true?
• Are you willing?

If you answered yes to each one, wonderful please continue.

You should know that the wages of sin is death and know that Jesus the only begotten Son of God, gave up His divine privileges to come in the flesh, to serve and die for you. This is how much He loves us, that He gave up His life in place of you and reconciled you to be with our Heavenly Father.
God's love is unconditional meaning that no matter what you do, He will not love you any more or any less. Now don't use our Father's everlasting love as a license to sin, rather, since you have been set free from the chains of death, use your freedom to follow His divine will.

Always keep that in mind through your fight against the flesh. Now here are things you can do to help you get through your temptations:

1. Pray. Keep praying always, pray that our Father will guide your steps so that you do not confront sin and give you strength.

2. Participate in healthy activities. Going out and hanging with friends(unless they tempt you), spending time with people, and of course, read the Holy Bible. Don't spend lengthy amounts of time on the computer.

3. Get rid of the roots. Yes, If something is causing you to sin, then it's best to cast it away from you. If anything arouses you, then run away from it.

Try these things for about a week and see if it helps you, if not then please read on.
Yes, God is love, merciful and slow to anger, BUT remember: God HATES sin. He is Just and will NOT always remain silent about transgressions.
He didn't lay down His law for the sake of being just a law, but for our own good too. You do not know the time or the hour of the second coming, so be prepared! Sometimes it's necessary that fear grip us, it completely stopped me from committing the sin.

Here are some verses from scripture that your mind SHOULD ponder on.

By this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.

9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don't use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It's better to enter eternal life with only one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.

For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

- Philippians 4:6

I will pray for you brother, fight the good fight and remember, God is with you always.

Do what the girl said . She got it right, nothing is greater than God's power, no matter how ''powerful'' you think your lusts are, they are nothing compared to the love of God.


Alternately if all things fail, come to China. You'll be arrested if you so much as speak about masturbation. All pornography is banned and chastity is generally given monetary rewards. Provides a great incentive to not touch

To be honest, I struggled with it, too. I always felt ashamed.

But recently, I went to a meeting where I just felt the presence of God. I was filled with the Holy Spirit, and I'm afraid that if I do it again, I'll lose this one thing. What if I slink back into the pit again? What if I begin to struggle once more?

Now, I don't do it anymore. I feel released.

Brother, repent of your sins and confess it. Put it behind You and focus on JESUS. Follow Him, and don't listen to the devil reminding you of your sins. I know the desire is seducing to your mind, but if you just sit down thinking about it and all "oh I can repent later" then you are not helping yourself. Don't keep eyeing the 'evil fruit', get away from it! Stay on the opposite side of the 'garden' and keep away from it. Start running or jogging. Tire yourself out or something. Pray, or sing to God. Pray and read Your Bible!

Get rid of things in your life that tempt you, and keep your eyes UP, not wandering down. If a girl is dressing too.. freeing, then get away from her and talk to another person. Look away immediately! Like one of the others said, get rid of the root of the problem. And know that God hates sin. If the Son sets you free, then you are free indeed!

Stop watching movies that are too 'you-know-what-I-mean.' Stop playing games that offer a temptation to let your mind wander. Even commericials! If you see one of those certain revealing-ish commercials, change the channel or shut off the TV. If you're watching it with family, just tell them you can't watch it and do something else.

And know that God is power! He is stronger than anything in this world. Pray to Him! You're body is the temple of God, so do not defile it.

One really effective thing i found to help was to keep your mind busy. Someone smarter than me once said that foolishness abounds in the unoccupied mind. I find if I have my mind on other things, the desire has a harder time coming around. Trust God to, just think you have the creator of the universe on your side, you will win the game
