Hi folks. I am working on the suede bolero top (size small) from Lionbrand's free patterns on their website. This is my first wearable garment, but things were going well until ...
I made the back and it looks right. Then I started on the right front panel. I tried to follow the instructions to the best of my ability, but I'm concerned that the pattern is wrong. There is a section that reads "Dec 1 st at neck edge every 4th row 8 times and at same time inc 1 st at side edge every 4th row 3 times - 16 sts. Work even until piece measures same length as Back to armholes, ending with a RS row."
The right piece is huge. It doesn't match to the Back from beginning to armholes at all. I emailed Lionbrand, but they've not gotten back to me. Is it possible that they meant every other row instead of every 4th row? Am i counting wrong? I did the inc and dec, then k row 1, p row 2, k row 3, then do the inc and dec on row 4. Then i start over. I don't know what to do, but I'm a little frustrated. Please, help!
