  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi folks. I am working on the suede bolero top (size small) from Lionbrand's free patterns on their website. This is my first wearable garment, but things were going well until ...

I made the back and it looks right. Then I started on the right front panel. I tried to follow the instructions to the best of my ability, but I'm concerned that the pattern is wrong. There is a section that reads "Dec 1 st at neck edge every 4th row 8 times and at same time inc 1 st at side edge every 4th row 3 times - 16 sts. Work even until piece measures same length as Back to armholes, ending with a RS row."

The right piece is huge. It doesn't match to the Back from beginning to armholes at all. I emailed Lionbrand, but they've not gotten back to me. Is it possible that they meant every other row instead of every 4th row? Am i counting wrong? I did the inc and dec, then k row 1, p row 2, k row 3, then do the inc and dec on row 4. Then i start over. I don't know what to do, but I'm a little frustrated. Please, help! :)
