  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

In the story of the woman at the well, Jesus tells her that He can provide water that will let us cease to thirst forevermore.

Water is the main element here, and it may well be related to the ritual of Baptism, which explicitly involves the use of Holy Water.

The element of food which Jesus mentions might also refer to the Eucharist. The Eucharist is the body of Christ, and is our spiritual food.

3. usually women came to fetch water when it was not very hot, this women came at noon when she knew there wouldn't be other women probably because of 5 men she had had, she was not approved in the community and tried to avoid encounters with others

it was not usual that jewish men talked to samaritan women but jesus did so

they are talking about praying and the place for prayer was very important, jesus tells that it is not so important where you pray but how to pray

5. i don't know about counceling and teaching but if you read the text very carefully you can notice that there is a real conversation going on, speaking, listening, something very special is happening between two people, there is a real and significant encounter
