• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

temptation is extra hard while we fight with the pleasure parts of our problem. keep looking for healling and strength.
we each find ourselves overwelmed by our desires and Christ has to teach us how He will recue us. we learn to be strong.
so don't give up on yourself. God knows we are made of dust and not to bright at getting in trouble. spiritual growth should be your focus. trials all revolve around making/ molding our spirit. let your eyes light up truth to soak in for your body to be a temple that stores up glorious things in Christ.

20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 22"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.
Matthew 6:20-22

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
--Galatians 5:16,17 Remember this scripture and repeat it until those desires leave...meditate on these words all day and the lord will give you strength:hug:

Get an accountability partner who knows you struggle with porn and won't judge you to put blocks on your computer. Yeah, I also struggle with the "M" word, but lust is easier to control once you destory porn from your life, as I have done. I used to be big into porn until I got saved. I just knew it was wrong and destroyed everything I had.
