Happiness, I suppose. I've also heard marriage is also an effective way to stop sexual activity of any kind.

What would be something’s that would cause someone to want to leave a marriage?

Most likely money or emotional issues. If you feel horrible, blame it on marriage. To alleviate perceived pain, leave your marriage. Simple. No logic involved.

What is divorce in your eyes?

When a married people sign a legal document. I'm not quite certain I understand the question... it seems pretty black and white.

Why do you think divorces happen?

I don't understand. This question seems similar to "What would be something’s that would cause someone to want to leave a marriage?"

My definition on divorce, which is pretty black and white and legalish, provides an answer: Just don't allow it on paper.

Of course the answer to the question you are really asking is more along the lines of 'no'. People will always find a reason to leave a person and reject their vows. You would have to change cultural views on marriage to such an extent that it is no longer a relationship state that can be so easily broken. Make it taboo. Even then people would still divorce.

Family are those who are connected both by blood ties and Spiritual ties. The familiar saying, "Blood is thicker than water" takes on a higher meaning when you say, "But the Spirit is thicker than blood!" This is what Yeshua (Jesus) was talking about when He said this ...

What are your views on marriage?

Marriage is the picture of heaven on earth. It is the most holy human covenant one can enter into, and one that Satan hates the most because of its importance. Thus the reason for so many divorces today. If Satan can destroy the family unit, he is capeable of anything and has destroyed the perfect picture of heaven!

God only allows 2 reasons for divorce; adultery and fornication. Of course if you found that you were married to an abuser or something like that, then yes, divorce could be an option. But I do believe that with the help of God any and all problems can be sorted out!

What is divorce in your eyes?

The breaking of the covenant of marriage. I do not agree with families who use their kids as a tug of war for affection. Divorced couples should never deal spitefully with the other. You could say that they ought to be as best friends and give each other the respect that their children are obliged to give their parents. Families who rubbish the other to their kids dishonour the other person and try to make the other despised in their childs eyes.

Aside from the reasons I stated above for the reasons for divorce, I believe that today most if not all divorces happen because of pride and selfishness. They are not willing to find a common ground and are not willing to sacrifice.

Do you believe that divorce can be prevented? And how?

Of course divorce can be prevented! Both partners have to lay aside their personal wants in order to put the others needs above themselves. A marriage can not be reconciled if selfishness and pride still govern their emotions. Complete honesty and self sacrificing of yourself is always a good starting point!

A group that loves and supports each other unconditionally, through thick and thin.

What do you think defines a family unit?

A family unit isn't defined by blood or marriage. Some times the family you choose for yourself is better than the one you were born into.
Family is about how you interact, how you take care of each other. It's not about law or religion.

What are your views on marriage?

The right to marry should be anyones, people act like Same-sex marriage will destroy marriage and make it less meaningful. Marriage is about love and commitment to another person. Making a stand that you want to spend the rest of your life with someone.

The only things that has made Marriage less meaningful are the infamous hollywood marriages. Couples that rent wedding rings, marriages based on money and rank and image. Those are the things that make marriage worth nothing.

What would be the incentives in staying in a marriage?

For me, the incentive is stability, love and a person that you can share anything with.

Tax breaks are just extra.

What would be some things that would cause someone to want to leave a marriage?

Abuse, cheating, being unhappy in your relationship.

What is divorce in your eyes?

When two people have decided that they have too many problems, they just can't put up with each other in a healthy manner (though they have tried) and they need to move on with life, seperately.

Why do you think divorces happen?

Any number of reasons, some good some bad. I think that a lot of the problem is people rushing into marriage without really knowing the person. Or marrying too young, people change throughout their lives. The person you married at 18 may be an entirely different person by the age of 25.

Do you believe that divorce can be prevented? And how?

It can, but it would require people to be responsible and get to know the person before getting too serious. Don't get married because it's socially acceptable to do so, get married because you genuinely want to spend the rest of you life with that person.
