URGENT! UKLL Urge All Decent People To Respond To Government Sexual Health Strategy By 27th February!!!


MSPs are being given the chance to have their say on the Scottish Executive's plans to improve the nation's sexual health record. Health minister Malcolm Chisholm launched a consultation period in November following the publication of a report which called for quicker access to abortions, and greater distribution of free condoms. UK LifeLeague spokesperson Mike Willis said: “UKLL urge all decent people – parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers - anyone who cares about the welfare of our children to respond to this misleading and distorted document.”

Tips for responding:

Be polite
be brief
use your own words

You could mention 1 or 2 of these points –

• You totally oppose the ‘fast tracking’ of abortion as recommended
• You reject the use of explicit sex ed. in the classroom
• High disease and teenage sex is a result of failed government strategies
• The strategy does not take into account the interests of parents – the primary educators of their children
• You object to the teaching of perversions such as sodomy and lesbianism to your children
• School governors could be found liable if a child develops complication after being prescribed the morning-after pill on school premises
• The strategy is written by sexual health experts and not parents
• The history of Healthy Respect is abysmal yet the strategy recommends they become the R&D unit for the strategy

IT IS VITAL THAT YOU RESPOND!!!

I know it's off topic but I find this truly mind boggling. How can you be anti-abortion services, yet be so against sex education in schools. It's partly the lack of sex education which makes abortions so necesary. Teenagers can't make informed decisions if they don't know all the facts, and if they decide it isn't against their belief system to have sex outside of marriage let them take steps to protect themselves.

Denying them that opportunity is ensuring abortion remains necessary.

Yeah, it's a Scotland issue, but, still it's good to be aware of whats going on in other countries and to pray that righteousness prevails through out the world. I can't submit my two cents since I live in the states but I sure can and will pray for this!

I'm half listening to the news, & want to make my butties before BBC Songs of Praise, so just briefly, thanks for USA prayers there, & as above posts said, in a different way, the Internet is a global medium that helps the Body of Christ worldwide pray for all, anywhere, in need of prayer, so Scots Christians asked UK LIfe League to stand with them

My great nan came from Perth, & my curly red hair - (silver among the gold these days) - is a Scots feature, that reminds me daily of my roots

Folk worldwide love the Scots Highlands - if only seen in the Highlander & Braveheart & Rob Roy movies, or read about in your great poets like Robert Burns

Several Scots live here & are good friends, & I've had several good Scots colleagues down the years

So don't feel invaded by widespread concern for Scotland the Brave, OK?
