  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Make sure your focus remains on God and don't ever let anyone lead you away. Choose a good man to date/marry and don't settle for less! God will reward your faithfulness to Him.

Another good book to read is The ABCs of Choosing a Good Husband by Stephen Wood. It offers great insight into what a Christian woman should look for in a husband (it is a choice after all).

The important thing is that he has not to be a hurdle for your christian life.
You would have to know him very well because your sons will have a life that can prejudice your christian life.
Attention, woman is weak sex for 99,99....%......
If your boyfriend celebrates christian festivities...and loves...christian laws then I think he can be good...

I'm sure that some of this advice sounds legalistic, but it's really about foresight. What you choose becomes your life.

You eventually want to be around soemone who brings out the best in you and helps you achieve your goals...who understands why you want to spend evenings doing service projects, music practice, or home groups...why you want to give ten percent of your joint income away.

When life brings tragedies--and it will--everyone gets on edge and is not in their best behavior. It's nice to have a spouse who suggests prayer, or talking with an elder, when you're at a loss for what to do.

But the "taking you back to the old you" --that can be patterns and ruts, and can happen with dedicated Christians too.
