  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dear Jothman. Jesus gave us a most wonderful idea, short and to the point. 1) Love God with all our hearts, with all our souls, and with all our minds. 2) Love our neighbour as ourselves. Everything we do, or every thing we say, or all we represent, or be a candidate for: " let love always lead us and guide us." God will see our sincere efforts, and God will bless us. We will be God`s representatives, and people will join us: sooner or later. Love is very catching, and love is a Christian`s strongest weapon.
It will not be easy for us, we are used to do as we like, but once we truly start to show God that we love Him enough to follow His Commandments to love, Jesus will give us His Love and Joy, and the Holy Spirit will give us His Love, also.
We will stumble and often forget, but then we ask God to forgive us, and God will forgive us, as we will forgive others. God is our Heavenly Father, and God is Love, what is more praiseworthy than to give back to God, and our neighbour, all the Love we have and are given by Jesus and the Holy Spirit? I say this with love, Jothman. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.
