  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Allow me :)

"Blessed areis he who has no reason to judge himself for what he approves. But the man who has doubts about eating, and then eats, stands condemned before God, because he is not true to his convistions and he does not act from faith. For whatever does not originate from faith is sin."

I was thinking, if a christian were to give money to a poor man and some how doubts what he has done, that is a sin right? This is how i'm interpreting it.
Relating to my hat, i was doing so but as you probably seen in my previous post had doubts with stupid excuses about mark of the beast etc etc. I mean i don't have doubts for the hat now it's just that before i got it made i had doubts. :)

Otherwise i might be seeing this verse in a different color than it really is

I think it might be a matter of context.

If you look at the verse above it, it a matter of what cause other people to stumble by what we do. there maybe things in life that are not really temptations to us, but my be to a christian brother or sister. So by faith, we need to look out for our brothers and sister and do not do things which might lead them into sin. the main point of romans 14 is that we need to support those who weak in faith, and not cause them to stumble.

for example, if I am with a christian brother (or sister for that matter) and this person is struggling to lose wiegth , i shouldn't take them to a bakery.

From what you've said here Sharky, It seems to me as if you cleared up any doubts before you had the hat made.

You'll never know when the scripture on your hat will speak to someone, and I'm sure that it will in many ways.
