Sunnie Rose said:Nope! Still no name, however I think the jet lag has worn off, and the vitamins and good feed he gets is making him "Mr. Butt Head!"
The first three weeks he followed me everywhere......rested his head in my arms, smelled my hair, tickled me with his wiskers, willingly put his head in the halter.... last week he started something new....... he wont let me catch him, brush him, pat him.. nothing! Yesdat it took 5 of us to corner and catch him in the pasture!
No he's in a 14x16 barn stall..... and I still can't brush him or pat him. I don't know what has happened..... he's not been treated differently at all! I'm devestated!![]()
Please pray that I might have extra patience!
Sunnie Rose said:Sunnie, Here is merely an educated guess. I don't know anything hardly at all about horses, but since you say nothing has happened it may be a delayed reaction. Sounds a little like post traumatic stress syndrome in people - that is where they react long after the event. Maybe something happened long before you got him and something recently reminded him and he is over reacting yet. Sure will be praying for your "Little Buddy" and you too. Must be frustrating and, of course, a big let down.If he warmed up to you once he may do it again...it may take time and a visit from the vet and a lot of, as you say, extra patience on your part. God grant you that! B.F.
