  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I give long distance relationship an all new meaning....not just distance, but time too. Ironically enough, the girl I really really like is also from Georgia. We both feel the same way about each other, but we have to wait a year and a half before we can even talk again. Harsh? yes. Worth the wait? a million times yes. Any relationship can work out if you have two things....first, God at the center of it all, and two...love. It's not always easy, but it's always possible and there's always hope. Read Corinthians I 13:4-7...thats what love really is.
Aww Why can't you talk to her for the next 1 and half year?
I'm in a long distance relationship too, and my boyfriend lives in England, and I live in Denmar, and we talk online everyday, and meet every months/2 months
And I think that's very tough, so I couldn't even begin to imagine not being able to talk to him for 18 months... But God will be with you. I wish you all the best :)

Hey Catch22? How much longer until you do get to see her? I bet you're counting down all of the days!! Can you two write to one another any way? What about emails? Anything? I will be praying for you!! :D :prayer: I think it's *so* wonderful that you two have that kind of commitment!! Encouraging stories ARE so good to hear!!! It's very encouraging!!! (To all of us in LDRs!!!)

Anyone & Everyone: Any suggestions for sweet things to do when my boyfriend an I are apart? When we're together, I sometimes take him out on dates!! So that's nice for the guy to not have to pay! ;) But I want to do sweet things while we're not together! Suggestions for things while we're together would be great too!! Everyone have a *wonderful* and *blessed* night!! GOD Bless!!

Thanks you very much Godsbugg. Gosh, you all are so supportive here...I love that! Unfortunatley, no I can't write her or e-mail her or contact her in anyway. The earliest I'll get to see her is this summer, but even thats not certain. If I don't see her then, then the next time I'll be able to will be fourteen months from then, so I'm just praying that God will have our paths cross. GB, I'm going to send you a PM so I can elaborate on this a bit more.

GodsBugg, I can' comment on your boyfriend, but I know what works for me. I may sound girly, but I like the small stuff. Like, we email each other every day, telling each other all about our days. But then sometimes I'll get a second small email that just says "I love you and miss you so much." Or something like that. I LOVE that, and I think most guys do though many won't admit it.

Lol. I seem to have missed all the advice section. Just one note though.

Dating has that "honeymoon" period. It's where everytihng is great and lovey dovey. When that's over, you argue more and don't quite see eye to eye on issues. It's normal. It's after the honeymoon period where you see if your relationship really will last or won't. It's much more real.
