hey everybody I am having a struggle that in class last friday we had a religious discussion and i brought up my thoughts and i got looked at like I was a weirdo what should I do

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is the wrong place for this, try general struggles. i wouldn't worry about it, just be yourself.

You should be proud. Most people don't have the courage you do. Remember your treasure is in heaven not here on earth. Still, I know that it is hard not to feel "weird." But you probably don't look as weird as you think. Often people are thinking something totally different than what you think they are. You have probably given a lot of other people courage. It is contagious, you know!

I get the "weirdness" a lot. Generally not from stating my beliefs, but from praying in public, and such like that. People comment on it quite a bit, and not always negatively.
One gay friend of mine used to be all like "that's really annoying, you know?" whenever we had lunch together and I didn't pay him any mind. We're not friends anymore...guess he turned out to be the intolerant one.

Hello friend, i guess i would ask.....do your beliefs agree with The Bible?- If so, then be a happy confident weirdo and go on! We as Christians in this world are to be different. Standing out is going to be normal, if you are standing in God! Don't be concerned with what others think or say.....be concerned only with what God knows about you and how you are serving Him! If what you were saying was Biblical and they all looked at you funny, then you are in a perfect place to start witnessing and sharing The Gospel!

I do not know the things what you exactly said so im leaving that in the middle. However i put my hands in the fire for what i stand for. Always stand firm behind that what you believe in. Don't be ashamed, stand ground for your faith!
