  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I've worked in animation for a number of years, and have sheets of hands in every concievable pose and angle.

Unfortunately, I can't post images or links to where I can, right?

If you're in L.A., I can give you copies.

If not, I need to post 100 times or something to post in the gallery section?

I always use my own hands for reference. If you've learned how to draw from life and are pretty decent at it, it becomes easy with a bit of practice. Sometimes it invovles me using mirrors or just drawing my hand opposite of what I see. I use my tablet a lot for drawing digitally... so it's easy to flip a sketch and scale it down so it looks right on your person's arm. Then when you do the actual line art, just trace over it and it looks smoother.

I've been having some problems with hands too...

Usually, I just look in the mirror...or have a very nice friend pose their hands for me :p

I've also tried looking at other people's work and seeing how the hands look in different styles and such...but I guess it just takes practice! ;)
