OK let's explore it then, because I have no idea why God is against homosexuality. I'd like to know what you think about it.........
Well, I am still learning so any personal study on your behalf would be fabulous, but we can start here.

I Cor. 6:18-20 It is a sin against your own body. This referring to the body being the temple.

I Thess. 4:4-5 giving into sexual imorality of any kind is lack of control. Therefore, abstaining from sexual imorality is an exercise in self control.

Ge 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
homosexuality goes against God's plan for His creation.

And then, we get into the issue of an earlier post 1 Th. 5:22 where we are told to not take on the appearance of evil, this going back to the homosexual acts of oppression.

These are some starting points, I have only started looking into the topic myself on any serious basis. I will try to do some cross referencing this afternoon and see what else I can find.

Tonight was a long night with a long and hard fought battle against one of the posters, Myrrdins Precinct, who has claimed in other threads to be a Christian. I used the word of God as a sword to cut through to the truth. I pray that I did this with the proper Christian love and attitude.

As to 1by1's belief that I should ignore debating, I sight the aforementioned points that Jesus argued with the unbelievers of his day. Also, please take the time and read Acts 13. You will note that Paul and Barnabas discussed the Gospel with the Jews. However, when they had been told the truth of God and did not believe, we get verse 46:

Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

Here we have an example of how to deal with such arguments as I am having. Paul and Barnabas spoke the truth, and when they had spoken the truth and did not believe, then they shook the dust from their feet. We must allow the Holy Spirit the chance to work through us before we give up on the lost.

Romans 10:14-15

14. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15. And how shall they preach except they be sent? as it is written, HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THEM THAT PREACH THE GOSPEL OF PEACE, AND BRING GLAD TIDINGS OF GOOD THINGS! --- Forgive the all caps, that is how it appears in my King James Version.

God Bless

Hey everyone,

Here is where we are. I've been debating scripture with two other people. One seems to be a very liberal thinking Catholic that doesn't believe the Bible says there is anything wrong with homosexual behavior. The other has claimed in other threads to be a Christian but appears to be totally ate up with the world and moral relatism.

The Catholic poster, jBirch, defended me against Myrridins, the moral relatism poster, when I assalted her view that "if I'm better than someone else, then I think God will accept me." There have been other complete non-believers that have scolded me for claiming that there is salvation in Jesus alone, too bad, its the truth!

Now someone else has started a thread about religions after my suggestion to do so in order that I could discuss Calvanism with jBirch. jBirch seems fairly open and unhostle towards my views. I think this will be a great opportunity to witness and tell people of my beliefs.
