Hello everyone,
My name is Eleri, and I am currently seeking support and advice regarding Christian issues. This wonderful community seems so open and welcoming, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
A little about me:
I am 18, female, and due to start my Bachelor's degree at the University of Cambridge this Autumn. I am a musician, playing multiple instruments and singing. I was born and christened as a Methodist, in Wales, United Kingdom - however, my parents and family do not actively practice worship. I want to strengthen my relationship with my religion, and with God, but do not know how. I am in a relationship with a Christian boy - however, his parents would not approve of me as a result of my denomination.
I have had an internal religious crisis for a little under a year now, and do not know where to turn. Many of the people I have spoken to are not aware of how to help me. I want to know how to connect with God, and with fellow Christians who may have some understanding of what I am currently experiencing. If anyone would be so kind as to offer some words of advice or point me in the right direction, I would be sincerely thankful.
