returns tonight!!!!!

Episode Synopsis: Sixteen new contestants get a crack at culinary stardom---and a shot at a head chef's job in the Canadian resort town of Whistler, B.C., a 2010 Winter Olympics event site. In the Season 6 opener, the red and blue teams prepare their signature dishes, but in a departure from past seasons this is now a team effort. Then it's on to the first dinner service (predictably a disaster) before the first chef is eliminated and an old friend returns. The second dinner service is even more disastrous. Original Air Date: Jul 21, 2009

I like Gordon Ramsey, but I am getting tired of the yelling, name calling and swearing. There are many ways to teach, but on this show, we only see one, dubiously effective, form of leadership. We see a much smarter, compassionate, more balanced Ramsey on Kitchen Nightmares or, my personal favorite, The F Word on BBC America. (The F word is FOOD, BTW)

The show producers select the wannabe chefs very carefully, and few have any experience or training. People with talent are excluded from participation. The show is about the nasty mean chef and a bunch of incompetent cooks. It's not educational or fun to watch. They cook the same menu every single night, with some specials now and again.

However, having said all that, I rarely miss a show.

LOL :D

I love this show. I saw the twist with Robert coming from a mile away, though. And, I'm intrigued about next week's episode!

I agree....I hate all the language and the way he acts...but still love the show. Wait till next week...wonder what really happens. And what was up with the guy (can't remember his name) getting in Ramsey's face.....? He had quite a mouth on him too!

This dude, Joseph. I know I was like why is he acting that way? I'm like "dude, shut up!" lol No doubt he's gonna be fired, but why even come on this show in the first place? Had he never seen it before? Doesnt' he realize that Gordo does this to the contestants (as Robert said to bring out the best in them). I know I'm anxious to see the next episode to see it all unfold!

And what about Van fighting with Jean-Phillipe? I thought they were gonna come to blows!!!

Seems this year has some hot heads equal to Gordon Ramsey himself! Should make for an interesting and entertaining season.

I think so too! My husband watched it later and came in and said the same thing....he's like What are they thinking?
Plus how could you not come on the show and not have seen it before--really?

Oh and how they started it by giving the advice to the new ones coming in....and the new ones were like this is stupid....yet they are making more mistakes this year than last year.....

I absolutely love this show. My husband graduated from culinary school, so it's fun to sit back and think "how can a person mess that up?" Now that I have cable, I never miss it.

I actually really like Ramsey. There's a whole lot of pressure in the kitchen and he really needs to sort out who can take it and who can't.

Who do you think is going to win?

My vote would be for Kevin. He's alittle pompous, but he's always consistant in the kitchen.

I agree with you. It's amazing how they just keep performing the way they are. That's dedication.

So how about last week's show? Can you believe that the girls didn't have a single plate out when the guys were completely done?

And I have to say that Robert and Suzanne are really grating on my nerves. Robert seems to be all talk and little action and Suzanne is just so arrogant and bossy. They way she treats people now, she wouldn't make a good head chef.
