  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I believe he's meaner than Simon.
He absolutely is. His screaming gets on my nerves sometimes, but he makes the show what it is -- great, entertaining, trash tv ;)

Did you see that one dude whimper? I lol'd

How humiliating! I was so embarrassed for the guy. He actually sounded like a little girl. Even I wouldn't make that kind of whimpering noise. Where do they come up with these people?

People handle stress differently.

I think it's sad though that the gals were crying every chance they could get but this man cried during the stress the same way and people are bashing him.

At least Ramsey didn't treat him any different than the others crying, but he did respect him enough to offer some motivation.

I read an interview of him once and it says that he's not into the whole celebrity-tv-fame thing, so he's not trying to put up an act when he's screaming and belittling them. He's just that intense because he demands perfection. And when you think about it, considering the winner gets to he the top chef in one of his restaurants, you want someone to be able to handle the stress chaotic and hectic kitchen,

Anyone know where the Hell's Kitchen restaurant is located?
I'm in Los Angeles and I'm wondering how you get to be one of those diners. I wonder if they have to pay for their meals.

I'm not sure where it is, but I remember hearing that the Hell's Kitchen website had sign-ups when they were taping for people who wanted to participate. They don't have to pay, but they also have no guarantee they'll actually eat. ;)

well, I watched it last night (taped it also) and watched it again earlier.

Wow! What a bunch of cry babies! like JTLauder here said, the winner of this needs to be ble to handle the stress, chaos in a hectic kitchen. I dont see much of that with this group last night.

But, still, it was the first night and perhaps some will sort themselves out a bit better.

But one thing that is very evident: no one is working with each other, no communication, plenty of wannabe chiefs wanting to be in charge and not enough braves willing to follow...

kinda sorta maybe have a guy and gal tentativly picked out but could be wrong.

I think Julie or is it Julia has a good chance and Ramsey likes her.

She so wanted to help and do what she needed to do and the others were snubbing her.

They were too uppity to try. Should have let the short order cook do it.
Yeah, they were giving the girl so much grief for working at Waffle House, but they couldn't fry an egg.
