  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi! My name is Jamie, and I've just joined these forums.

I'm 26, and I just recently moved to Denver. I am a relatively new born-again Christian - I accepted Christ on Christmas Eve of 2002. My life hasn't been the same since! I am amazed at what my newfound faith in Christ has done for my life.

I currently attend Colorado Community Church in Aurora, a non-denominational, evangelical congregation with very strong Bible messages in the sermons. I am planning on joining the choir soon, now that I'm getting settled in to a new job.

My hobbies are music (I play piano, flute, and sing), quilting, reading, writing, and Bible study.

I joined these forums, because I was looking for a 'safe haven' meant specifically for Christians, because I am tired of posting in 'open' communities that are way too tolerant of flaming and trolling. I want a safe place where I can discuss my faith with other Christians. I am so glad this site has forums like this.

Anyway, that's me in a nutshell. I'm glad to be here, and I look forward to digging into the forums! :)
