Okay so I'm one of those who was raised as a Christian. I'm not sure when I was saved. It might have been as early as 8 when my sister who's about 15 years older and was a missionary lead me in the prayer to accept Christ as my savior. Or if not then, then probably when I was at a Christian camp when I was 16. Unfortunately I'm one of those who's come to the Lord, backslid and come back again several times. I've learned a lot and also missed out on a lot depending on where I've been spiritually.

About three months ago was the latest coming back. I've been on various forums for years, but not Christian one to any extent. So I figured since I like forums, this where I should be hanging out. Another beginning.

Thanks. I wasn't gone altogether and had even been attending church for years. But my heart wasn't into being a Christian enough. I had fallen into complacency.

i learned to understand that loving God and neighbour is the main task ahead. The more we put love into action the more love we have to fight our sins, also complacency. Not that i 'm not guilty of having been complacent, but love For God and neighbour stops me from just gaining for myself.

When we miss to love we miss our calling.

Better love of neighbor is something I need to work on. I'm a very solitary person. I'm familiar with the layout of this place because it's so similar to Brent's autism forum.

I have found; in times of trouble; like we have with this CV-19; that listening to; and singing along to good Christian P&W music; can bring us closer to Jesus and His wonderful peace.

One thing I'll say about falling out of touch with the Lord and getting back in touch, is it's a good reminder to me of what a wretch I am without being in touch. And what an even worse wretch I'd be if I didn't know Him at all.

One thing I'll say about falling out of touch with the Lord and getting back in touch, is it's a good reminder to me of what a wretch I am without being in touch. And what an even worse wretch I'd be if I didn't know Him at all.

I can definitely relate.

It took a deep and lengthy conversation for me to learn that no matter how far we descend...His Love is deeper still to raise us again and again and again.

And now, my will is to descend only in service to Him, by His Grace.
