hi yourself :D

Welcome to CF

How about telling us a little about yourself - you don't need to identify yourself , but little about what's brought you here and what you hope to get here would be helpful

can someone fill me in on the posting requirements here ?

Do I have to pay to post or something ?
Posting is free, one can be a "supporter" for a fee, that removes the advertisements you see on the website. There are some (most) forums where only people that identify as "Christian" in their faith profile can post in, otherwise you should be able to post in several forums. You will be able to send private conversations once you reach 20 posts and 5 positive ratings. Here is a link to some FAQ that will help you:

So, when it says " you have insufficient privileges to reply here ", those " privileges " mean I have to identify with the religion of the opening poster or I can't talk to them ?
Not necessarily, it varies by forum. Sometimes one simply has to reply to a stickied post for privileges. Other times it is because only people identifying as "Christian" can post in a particular forum, but anyone can view it.

Why am I getting "insufficient privileges" when I try to post in some forums?
Certain forums have requirements for participation. For example, Christian Apologetics has this in the Statement of Purpose for that forum:
  • Christian Members: To participate in this forum please read the sign-up thread and request access.
  • Non-Christian Members: Please read this sticky thread and follow the instructions before posting in this forum.

So, just out of curiosity, since I'm still figuring things out here, if I wanted to discuss something like nomen sacrum and the use of the titlo in Greek manuscripts, where or how would I go about doing this ?

Thanks
That depends, if you are desiring a debate or a challenge then the Christian Apologetics forum is the best place (IMO):Christian Apologetics
If you are desiring to ask a question and receive answers from a Christian perspective, but not debate, then the Exploring Christianity forum is probably right (IMO):Exploring Christianity

Note, both forums have Statement of Purpose's that must be agreed upon by posting in the appropriate thread before posting.

If your faith was listed as "Christian" then other possible categories would be Scriptures or General Theology, among others.

It won't let me post to say " I read and agree to the terms "

It says " insufficient privileges

.....
Ah, my apologies, I did not see where it said the below in the SOP:
"You must have 100 posts and five likes to post in this forum."

Perhaps it would fit in the other sections below? They do not have those restrictions as far as I can tell:
Debate Other Religions: Debate Other Religions & Faiths
Christianity and World Religion:Christianity and World Religion

Also maybe the Messianic Judaism forum, but that is more specific and not open to debate for non Messianic Judaism members, to post in it you are supposed to agree and post HERE even though the website will allow you to post without doing so.

Hhmmm, you think nomen sacrum / titlo is apropos for those ?

Nomina sacra - Wikipedia

I personally don't think it has anything to do with world religions or other faiths, it's just classical Greek from the Bible manuscripts

I'll look around in the forums and see if I can make heads or tails of it, thanks for your patience :)

I actually do not think they are really the right place, honestly the Scriptures forum is the best place (IMO), but one has to have a "Christian" faith identity to post there. You might be able to open a support ticket HERE to gain access to that forum by request if you explain to them what you are looking for information on. It could be worth a try.

Happy to help! :)

Truth be told, I had so many people over the past few years keep telling me I'm not a " real christian " that I came to conclusion they must be right, so I didn't pick " christian " as my belief ( although I wanted to )
