Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.
Posting is free, one can be a "supporter" for a fee, that removes the advertisements you see on the website. There are some (most) forums where only people that identify as "Christian" in their faith profile can post in, otherwise you should be able to post in several forums. You will be able to send private conversations once you reach 20 posts and 5 positive ratings. Here is a link to some FAQ that will help you:can someone fill me in on the posting requirements here ?
Do I have to pay to post or something ?
Not necessarily, it varies by forum. Sometimes one simply has to reply to a stickied post for privileges. Other times it is because only people identifying as "Christian" can post in a particular forum, but anyone can view it.So, when it says " you have insufficient privileges to reply here ", those " privileges " mean I have to identify with the religion of the opening poster or I can't talk to them ?
That depends, if you are desiring a debate or a challenge then the Christian Apologetics forum is the best place (IMO):Christian ApologeticsSo, just out of curiosity, since I'm still figuring things out here, if I wanted to discuss something like nomen sacrum and the use of the titlo in Greek manuscripts, where or how would I go about doing this ?
Thanks
Yes, for that forum you need to read and agree to the thread below, then you should be able to get access. If you have any problems there is a contact in the thread that should clear it up:Christian apologetics says " insufficient privileges "
I'm confused already
Ah, my apologies, I did not see where it said the below in the SOP:It won't let me post to say " I read and agree to the terms "
It says " insufficient privileges
.....
I actually do not think they are really the right place, honestly the Scriptures forum is the best place (IMO), but one has to have a "Christian" faith identity to post there. You might be able to open a support ticket HERE to gain access to that forum by request if you explain to them what you are looking for information on. It could be worth a try.Hhmmm, you think nomen sacrum / titlo is apropos for those ?
Nomina sacra - Wikipedia
I personally don't think it has anything to do with world religions or other faiths, it's just classical Greek from the Bible manuscripts
I'll look around in the forums and see if I can make heads or tails of it, thanks for your patience![]()
