Hi, just thought I'd say hello in this forum. I live in Northern Ireland and am married to David, who is a retired medical doctor. We have 4 adult children, none of whom are married and 3 of whom are living at home with us. These 3 are all on the autistic spectrum, but 2 are planning to find rented accommodation to move into. In my youth I was a social worker, which I gave up when my husband was in his final year of studying medicine. I worked for almost 2 years in Liverpool and 1 year in Dublin. Now I volunteer in a charity shop which was set up by a missionary couple to fund ministries in Mozambique

The family belongs to Antrim Baptist Church, where David is involved with the media team and he and I are both involved with the Lunch@ABC ministry. My main loves are knitting and reading.

Gillian,

I'm so pleased to see you here. May this be a profitable and enjoyable experience for you.

I'm from the opposite end of the world, Down Under. My son has just spent a week in London for his employment and found the weather, after sunny and stormy SE Queensland, to be somewhat cold, rainy and blowy. Is that the kind of winter you are experiencing as well?

In Christ,
Oz

Welcome Lass,
I'm not a regular here but have been in and out for several years now. I and my wife are in the seventies range and she is active in Children's Ministry and Tabulating and depositing the funds. I was a Teacher until just, very, recently. I serve my nation in Vietnam and because of Operation Ranch Hand spraying Agents Orange, White and Blue on us to kill the foliage, MS is killing me and my only ministries left to me are on my computer, repairing computers and repairing model helicopters for young lads.

I am in the final stage of this silly disease but I am still doing my best to serve and to glorify God. Before I was saved at 45 I was a Country and a Blues Singer/Guitar Player in the Juke Joints of SE Texas. When I entered the LORD's service I sang for Him.

Praying for success in your efforts and God's blessing on it.

Thank you all for your welcomes - sorry I took so long to reply. Bill, my husband enjoys building model aeroplanes and helicopters - an interest that goes back to childhood. He took a remote control to the New Year's Eve party at our church and one little boy in particular was fascinated - couldn't seem to figure out how it got up in the air like that!

To the over 50s, did you know there's a forum for the likes of us? It's known as the Golden Eagles forum.

Blessings,

Gillian
