Dear JenetteLibby. Nice to know you. Jesus tells us in Matthew 22: 35-40:
"The first and great Commandment is: Love God with all our hearts, with all our souls, and with all our minds. The second is like it: Love our neighbour as we love ourselves." Jesus also tells us: " On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." God wants our Love, freely given and No conditions tagged on. Jesus will give us His Love and Joy, and the Holy Spirit will empower us with His Love, also. Jesus tells us: " ask and ye shall receive," then we thank God and share all Love and Joy with our neighbour: i.e. all we know and all we meet, friends and not friends. ( Matthews 7: 7-8) We keep asking God and thanking God, then sharing all Love and Joy with our neighbour. God will see our sincere efforts and God will approve and bless us. We might stumble and forget at times, but then we ask God to forgive us, and carry on Loving and Caring.
God is Love, and a Christian`s great weapon is Love, we can overcome all enmity and wrong behaviour with loving and kind words and friendly smiles.
People around us will notice and they will treat us the same as we treat people, and the wonder of this is: slowly and gradually we will change into the sons and daughters which our Heavenly Father wants us to become. People will know whom we represent, and who we are: Sign-posts to our God.
The Bible also tells us to " Repent," to change fom being selfish and unloving
to becoming men and women who Love God and love our neighbour as we love ourselves, and slowly but surly, we will change this imperfect world to a
place where Love and Joy is to be found all around us.
Jesus our Saviour will help and guide us, JESUS IS THE WAY. Welcome again
JenetteLibby. I say this with love. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.
