Hello

Hello my name is Daria, I'm 30 years old mother of 2 girls ( 5 and 3) and I'm currently pregnant with my third child, a boy, due in September.

I decided to join this forum, mostly because it doesn't seem "over the top" and as far as I've seen its a friendlty and tolerant community. I just joined a Pentecostal church, my husband and I where invited by a friend but he is not interested, he's an atheist and I grew up as an agnostic, my parents could careless about religion in any shape or form, they just thought it wasn't important. I'm having a hard time fitting in in church, I feel left out mostly because I find myself impossible to believe everything I listen to during mass or everything I read in the bible....

But, could it be that I was just born to be like this? A nonbeliever? I've tried to get closer to God and I just find myself feeling like a hypocrite.

Hope you can understand where I'm coming from.

It takes time for any relationship to grow DashaM. Draw close to God and He will draw close to you. Lines of scripture will stand out for you.. you might hear the exact same scripture at church that you had been reading that morning. Gods talking to you in those 'coincidences'.

In terms of believing miraculous things in the bible. Assuming you believe God is the creator of heaven and earth. Its not such a leap of faith to believe He can do anything with His creation. Is it?

First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy. I have a son, and I feel so blessed to be his mom. I hope your pregnancy goes smoothly.

I'm new on this forum too, but I've been a Christian for many years. I have gone through several 'storms' in my life, especially lately, and God has proven Himself to be faithful over and over again. I agree with the others when they say to keep seeking Him. His love for you is greater than you could ever imagine, and your relationship with Him will grow as you keep reading His Word.

I'll be praying for you, Daria, and I'm glad you're reaching out to others. Having other Chritians in your life who will encourage you and support you in prayer is a huge blessing!
