  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Howdy, Michelle! Well, I guess I qualify. I'm still a kid at heart, making me not mature. Sadly I am a widower. My wife went to the Lord Dec. 18th 2009.

Thanks for a very nice welcome! I know I will enjoy meeting everyone and this great forum. Very nice to meet you.

God bless,

tony

That's a good plan. I think I'm going to start rebuking this stuff. Thank God I slept well last night and feel some better today. I've got my air cleaner cranked in the living room, trying to dust some in here, improve the internal living conditions too. I was spoiled to not having allergies bug me that much, but then the roof caved in and man, what a pull down!

Oh well, I'll tell this anyway. I found I can play an empty cookie tin like a bongo drum! I've got kinda sharp on the silly thing. I put tempos to old Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass songs. I play it "muted" "open" and use my left forefinger for rim shots. I just enjoy drumming period. I would play a kitchen sink pipe if it sounded good-ha! Silly but I enjoy it.

John Pisano, long time guitarist and composer for Herb & The Brass has been an email friend for years. I was talking about healing from my grief of losing my wife, and playing that crazy can with their old songs.
Jeanne is his wife and also a singer.

John's email reply:

Hi Tony,

It was good to hear from you again. Losing a soul mate is the hardest thing in the world and our hearts go out to you.

It is good to know the music is there for you and that you have some fun with it. Keep it up as music does help heal us.

With warmest thoughts,

John and Jeanne
