Hi everyone I think this is the first time I have ever visited this part of the forum there were some things I have wondered about Anabaptist and I figured this would be the best place I can go.There have been things said about Anabaptist reg. and figured I would come here and ask:)

1)I have heard that all of you are every forgiving all the time

2)That most believe in not using electricty

3) That all anabaptist are mennoites(I do apologize if I spelled it wrong) or Amish

4)I have seen many Amish people b/c where I live.

5)That all of you are 100% content with your lives

6) One thing I have seen it's that most Amish people tend to look alike which I think it's very cool it's almost like you can spot an Anabaptist b/c most of them tend to look alike

7)That anabaptist/Amish never hurt

Thanks for taking the time to answering this have heard this from different people and always wondered:)

 Hi little sister, glad ya stopped by. I'll give your questions a shot and some of the others will weigh in too I'm sure.

1. We do our best as all Christians should. But you will find forgiving Christians everywhere.
2. We all that post here have a computer hidden somewhere...;) I guess you'll find Amish w/o it but even the plain Mennonite folks I come across have a place to plug in.
3. Nope, not all. Hutterites, Brethren (particularly Church of the Brethren & Brethren in Christ), and a funny little group of neo-anabapists are in that family too.
4. We got them here in Franklin County PA and loads of them over in Lancaster County PA.
5. :D Yeah, I enjoy a level of contentment with a bit of turmoil tossed in. That idea stems from the idea that as God's children we needn't fear for what lays ahead in our lives, that God will provide.
6. That's true toward the plain anabaptist groups. I don't own a plain coat...
7. If you mean we don't hurt others by violence then that would be correct. If you mean we don't hurt others at all, then yes it happens, since one can be hurt by a poor words and anger. If you mean we can't be hurt/feel pain, then that would not be correct, we can hurt as much as anyone.

If you read the "Anabaptist Vision" article in the thread titled the same, plus check the links in the sticky above "What is an Anabaptist" then you may understand a little better too.

Let us know if ya have any more questions.

oh okay thanks:)

I think one things would be cool if I could get to know an Anabaptist, to learn and understand everything would be cool:)Just a week weeks ago I was talking to someone and both of us had a both the anabaptist are here to teach us something, something that is important to learn.I think it's so amazing how all of you look alike which is a very cool thing.

I hope if it will be okay for me to hang around alittle:)
