Hello,

where can i ask questions about the christian faith?
also, i want to know about a certain type of christianity which believes in the prophethood of jesus (peace be upon him)? Does anyone here belong to that sect? Can anyone elaborate on what they believe. Thanks

PS. I have a short attention span (which i am trying to improve). I do not like long posts.

Hey there

(I think) I know a lot about the mainstream christian belief already but thanks for the site. I was really interested in this particular sect (believes in Jesus' prophethood) I was referring to in my opening post. And where can I post questions to clarify my understanding of the christian faith.

Questions such as:

1. Did Jesus (peace be upon him) claim to be God?
2. Did Jesus (peace be upon him) claim to be a prophet of God?
3. There is something known as the Trinity in the Christian belief. Could someone clarify the concept and explain the necessity of such a belief. (i.e. why is it obligatry to have such a belief?)
4. How did Jesus (peace be upon him) communicate with God?
5. Is the Bible the literal word of God? Or is it the sayings of the Gospel Writers as directed by God? Or is it just the sayings of the Gospel Writers on their own accord?
6. Who was the first man?
7. Who was the first prophet?
8. What does Christianity say about the other so-called divinely revealed books of God? i.e hindi scriptures, torah etc
9. What does Christianity say about the other so-called prophets of God? i.e abraham (peace be upon him), moses (peace be upon him), buddha etc
10. If you believe that the traditional Prophets (i.e moses, abraham(peace be upon them)) are true, then what are your objections to the other traditional faiths? I.e. why isn't moses' (peace be upon him) law sufficient for salvation? What is wrong with the saying of muhammad (peace be upon him) that you should worship one God?
12. Does Jesus' (peace be upon him) sacrifice apply to all humanity or just those who lived after him?
13. What was the message of the earlier prophets?
14. What was Adam's (peace be upon him) message?
15. Who is the message of Christianity for? The world? Europeans? Etc.

These questions are just to clarify my understanding of your faith. I don't really intend to challenge any of your beliefs even if I disagree with the logic in them. However, I hope its ok to ask for clarification on something that seems illogical because I would hate to leave this forum with the (incorrect) belief that there are some inherent logical fallacies in your faith when there aren't.

There are many denomination of christians here. You can start in the christian only section if you are saved. Otherwise there are questions rooms towards the bottom of the homeage. The wiki is also a great source.
